- Glaucoma or Comprehensive Ophthalmologist with Partnership Opportunity
Description
Comprehensive Ophthalmologist or Glaucoma Specialist
Talley Eye Institute is seeking a comprehensive ophthalmologist or fellowship-trained glaucoma specialist to join our physician-owned practice in Evansville, Indiana. We are looking for a physician who wants to build a busy surgical practice, work in a collaborative environment, and pursue partnership in an independent ophthalmology group.
This is an excellent opportunity for a current fellow or early-career ophthalmologist to step into an established patient base with a strong referral network throughout southwest Indiana, southern Illinois, and western Kentucky. With our established referral network and existing surgical demand, new surgeons can expect to perform approximately 1,100 to 1,500 surgeries during their first year while building a practice that reflects their interests. A glaucoma specialist can focus primarily on glaucoma while maintaining cataract surgery, or a comprehensive ophthalmologist can develop a broad anterior segment practice.
Our Practice
Talley Eye Institute is a busy, referral-based ophthalmology practice consisting of three retina surgeons, one cornea specialist, one uveitis specialist, two comprehensive ophthalmologists, and two residency-trained optometrists. We also operate a state-of-the-art ambulatory surgery center and several satellite clinics throughout the region.
You'll work alongside experienced subspecialists who value collaboration while giving each physician the independence to develop their own practice.
Partnership and Compensation
Our practice offers the opportunity to build both a rewarding career and long-term ownership. New physicians benefit from strong surgical demand, efficient operations, and low overhead, allowing first-year net income to exceed $400,000.
Partnership is available after just 18 months and includes ownership in our physician-owned ambulatory surgery center. Unlike many ophthalmology practices today, Talley Eye Institute remains completely independent, with no private equity ownership.

Evansville offers an outstanding opportunity for a young surgeon to build a successful practice, establish long-term roots, and enjoy an excellent quality of life.
