Cascade Surgicenter is an ambulatory surgery center with over 100 employees supporting outpatient surgeries in Central Oregon. We are seeking an experienced part-time HR Generalist to support the HR needs of our amazing team. The HR Generalist will support recruiting, onboarding, employee relations, benefits and compliance. This person needs to be comfortable working independently while balancing the HR needs of the organization. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the delivery of high-quality healthcare services while working with caring, fun, energetic individuals that love what they do everyday. This position provides a hybrid and flexible work schedule of 20-30 hours per week. Candidates must reside in Central Oregon prior to start date. Schedule requires 1 day/week onsite.
Requirements
Recruits, interviews, and facilitates the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions; collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.
Initiates offer letters and all pre-employment requirements for new employees including background checks, internal notifications, and industry related eligibility verifications.
Implements and maintains employee recognition programs.
Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development.
Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.
Attends and participates in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
Administers leave of absence requests, coach employees on LOA types, eligibility and return to work requirements.
