Savannah is the oldest city in the state of Georgia and is admired for its historic architecture, coastal cuisine, scenic landscapes, warm weather and an abundance of activities, as well as its quirky charm and Southern hospitality. The region's rich culture and history are carefully preserved and intertwined with a hip lifestyle that appeals to both newcomers and locals. In fact, in 2014 Condé Nast Traveler and Travel + Leisure named Savannah a “Top Ten Friendliest City in the World' and one of the “World's Best Cities in the U.S. and Canada.” Learning opportunities abound in Savannah, site of an award-winning public school system, a multitude of private schools and abundance of colleges and universities. With all that Savannah has to offer, along with a cost of living that is below the national average, it's no wonder residents enjoy an unparalleled quality of life.
