Summary: Clinical and administrative leader responsible for coordinating Beebe Medical Group surgical providers and proceduralists' schedules and utilization at all Beebe procedural facilities, including, but not limited to, Beebe Medical Center, Beebe Surgical Specialty Hospital, and Beebe Outpatient Surgery Center. This position works closely to develop productive and collaborative relationships with Beebe Medical Group practice operations, Beebe Surgical Services, and Beebe Department of Surgery. This role is a key player in optimizing BMG surgical schedules to ensure patient access and improving the BMG perioperative patient experience. Understanding and partnership across all three distinct phases of perioperative operations is needed. Clinical skills necessary to review and ensure schedule, pre-authorization, and facility requirements are met. Responsible for onboarding new providers to the process. Responsible for coordinating and ensuring timely completion and capture of procedural billing. Decision making based on data and ability to work across departments required. Reports to BMG Director of Operations Specialty Care.
Other information: Knowledge of surgical procedures, perioperative operations, and medical group operations. Knowledge of the community, challenges in navigating the health care system, and provision of patient-centered care. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with others. Computer proficiency and familiarity with Electronic Health Record documentation required. Candidate must be highly organized and able to communicate effectively with all levels of leadership and staff across many departments. Candidate must be able to anticipate needs and opportunities as well as execute on process improvement.
1.1 Adjusts schedule to optimize BMG OR Utilization.
1.2 Coordinates stakeholders as necessary including management, provider, staff, and patient to improve and optimize utilization.
1.3 Serves as the primary point of contact for surgical scheduling, pre-op testing and coordination, and connecting to appropriate supportive care services.
1.4 Liaison between Beebe Medical Group, Surgical Services, Department of Surgery, Imaging, Labs as it relates to the coordination of BMG surgical patients.
1.5 Identifies and drives process improvement as it related to BMG perioperative scheduling and utilization.
1.6. Coordinates provider completion and capture of procedural provider-based billing ensuring that providers follow policies/procedures timely.
1.7 Excellent organizational skills and the ability to work independently. Must be able to utilize varied electronic health records, maintain patient data and elicit reports as needed.
1.8 Develops utilization protocols based on procedures and time variables.
1.9 Other duties as assigned.
