Credentials Coordinator/ Administrator Assistant (Dual Role) Full Time
This position requires a highly motivated and detail- oriented Credentials Professional. We are committed to providing high quality service to our patients, our staff and our medical staff. This is a position of high responsibility that requires great attention to accuracy. The Credentials Coordinator processes and analyzes the applications and appointment/reappointment of medical staff and allied health professionals. They ensure credentials meet regulatory agency requirements and adhere to Medical Staff Bylaws/Facility policy. They enter practitioner data quickly and accurately.
St. Joseph's Surgery Center is currently seeking an Administrative Assistant supporting the Administrator for full time opportunities. The Administrative Assistant will provide support and back up for personnel by performing duties to include the following.
Responsible for performing administrative duties that require discretion and independent judgment, Understanding USPI's Mission and USPI's EDGE and completing daily responsibilities in accordance with the standards outlined in each. Typing correspondence, reports, contracts, agreements and various specialized documents. Maintaining the confidentiality and security of sensitive, privileged credentialing communications and work product. Organizing and maintain filing systems. Making meeting arrangements and maintaining calendar for facility officers. Maintaining positive relationships with physicians and corporate personnel. Take (type) meeting minutes for Administration, clinical operations and other administrative meetings.

Hourly Range: $18.50-$30.00 / hour
Wages are determined based upon a number of factors including, but not limited to, an individual's qualifications and experience.
Required Skills:
High school education and/or equivalent required.
Associate degree preferred.
2-3 years of related experience (or training) as a secretary or administrative assistant; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Recent credentialing/medical services or closely related experience.
Experience in the use of credentialing software strongly preferred.
Experience working directly with physicians and their offices on appointment/reappointment process.
Knowledge of Joint Commission and governmental regulatory requirements.
Demonstrated speed and accuracy of data entry.
Very strong clerical and organizational skills.
Experience in use of Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, etc
Ability to read and comprehend complex instructions, business correspondence and memos.
Ability to write complex correspondence.
Ability to effectively present information in group situations to patients, physicians and other employees of the organization.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
Ability to utilize Electronic Health Care Record for patient documentation.
Understanding of payroll systems and staffing coordination highly desirable
Strong skills in Microsoft suite products including excel and access to create professional report.
