Under minimal supervision, is responsible for developing and delivering training for clinical staff across the organization. Additionally, the Educator performs clinical practice consultation, and develops clinical policies and standards that reflect evidence-based practice and meet national quality standards for patient care.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Serve as a resource for clinical practice, which may also involve clinical project work that results in meeting identified standards
- Review/develop clinical policies/procedures/guidelines/standard work as assigned
- Develop education and training for organizational program initiatives
- Develops/coordinates/performs clinical audits as assigned
- Assist in the development of and teaches "Core Competency" Classes for Clinical staff
- Assist in the development of content for clinical staff and Preceptor orientations, and trains staff and Preceptors as needed. Participates in Clinical Education Committee, and other committees as assigned by manager
- Serve as a resource for documentation standards in Electronic Medical Record (EMR)

Required Qualifications:
- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing
- Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse license through the State of Washington
- Experience in developing clinical training content, using adult learning principles
- Experience training and coaching clinical staff
- Knowledge of current national ambulatory care practice standards per the American Academy of Ambulatory Care Nursing (AAACN), American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA), Washington State Department of Health (WSDOH), and other quality/regulatory agencies
