Union Primary Care, part of Atlantic Medical Group, is curently seeking an experienced Certified Medical Assistant to join our team in Union, NJ.
Monday through Thursday - 9am to 7pm
Every other Saturday - 8am to 12pm
CCMA certification through AAMA, AMCA, AMT, NCCT, or NHA
The Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) in the ambulatory practice functions as an integral member of the interdisciplinary healthcare team in providing direct patient care. The CMA functions under the direct supervision and authority of the physician when determining competencies and performing clinical tasks during patient care. The CMA reports to the Practice Clinical Supervisor or Practice Manager who is responsible for administrative supervision and orientation of the CMA to the area's policies and procedures.
The CMA ensures safe and efficient patient flow, rooms patients, administers medications and immunizations, obtains vital signs, maintains an inventory of appropriate supplies, tracks high-risk referrals and lab tests, facilitates safe transitions of care, organizes the practice environment to assure patient safety and quality health outcomes, and contributes to designated quality measures.
High School Diploma or equivalent required
MA certification through AAMA, AMCA, AMT, NCCT, or NHA and BLS required
MA experience in practice setting preferred
EMR experience desired
Must successfully pass all required training to include Electronic Medical Record training, AMG CMA training, and department specific clinical competencies, among others
