The role of the Nurse Practitioner is to integrate the elements of health maintenance disease prevention, physical diagnosis, and treatment in a patient care clinic. This includes the treatment and management of common, acute, and chronic conditions. The Nurse Practitioner services may be utilized in any setting including, but not limited to, the office, the ambulatory clinic, the hospital, the patients home, extended care facilities and nursing homes according to credentialing regulations of the institutions or insurance carriers.

Board certification, a State of Iowa license, DEA and BLS certifications are required prior to employment.
