Phlebotomist-Lab Aide Trainee Program - Puget Sound RegionThe Phlebotomist Trainee program has a start date of September 26, 2022.Information about the ProgramCurrently enrolled or enrolling in a recognized and accredited Phlebotomist-Lab Aide Trainee Program through Bates Technical College that is in partnership with MultiCare. This is a Phlebotomist-Lab Aide Trainee Program.-The candidate will have a "paid"/benefit eligible, position, at the time of hire date. -There is a one year work agreement/commitment to work for MultiCare due to the investment of the program.-At the end of a successful program, there will be a variety of Phlebotomist-Lab Aide positions in various locations in the Puget Sound area (Puyallup, Tacoma, Olympia, Auburn, Covington, Gig Harbor).The final Phlebotomist-Lab Aide positions once the program is completed are: Full time or part time day, nights or evening positions. There may also be .8fte and .6ftes available.
The candidate will have a "paid"/benefit eligible, position, at the time of hire.
For the students enrolled or enrolling in Bates Technical College Phlebotomy Program, if hired at MultiCare, they will reimburse for the cost of the Bates Technical College, Phlebotomy education program.
Medical Assistant-Phlebotomist Certification. Registration certification: This will be started during the program. This will be worked on/obtained via the Training Program and in collaboration with MultiCare after your start date. This is at the cost of the employee, but will be reimbursed by MultiCare.

To apply for the MA-P during the training program. - Upon successful completion of the Phlebotomist-Lab Aide Trainee program, and once credentialed, MultiCare will attempt to align and offer position specific to a location and hours based on the current open positions, at that time.The Phlebotomist Trainee program has a start date of September 26, 2022.Job Description:The Phlebotomist Trainee is responsible for obtaining pre-analytic lab collections from patients of all ages primarily in an acute care, and ambulatory setting under the supervision of lab personnel. Responsibilities vary and include up to three pre-analytical functions: patient registration, and order entry, phlebotomy, and specimen processing. This position works closely with the laboratory and patient care teams. This position requires a service-oriented individual who can establish good customer service, positive, and effective relations with all patients and staff, who has exceptional organization skills, pays attention to detail and uses discretion and good judgment in decision-making. Internal contacts include MHS staff and management. External contacts include patients, families, office staff and physicians.Education/Licenses/Certifications: High school graduate or equivalent preferred
