Akron Children's Hospital has an outstanding opportunity for Chair of the Department of Pediatrics/ Dr. Noah Miller Chair in Pediatric Medicine. This individual serves as a primary advocate and champion for patients and families seeking/receiving services on behalf of Akron Children's overall, and within the greater Department of Pediatrics. S/he is responsible for departmental clinical and administrative oversight and leadership including clinical and educational programs. S/he will be responsible for the continuing growth of the Department and defining the vision for the Department. The Chair will implement and oversee quality-of-care initiatives, departmental educational activities and will implement Hospital strategies, as required. The Akron Children's Chair of Pediatrics also serves as the Chair of the Medical School Department of Pediatrics at Northeast Medical University (NEOMED).

Education and Experience
1. Education: MD/DO required
2. Additional training and/or advanced degree preferred (MPH, MHA, MMM, MBA, PhD, etc.)
3. Certification: Boarded in pediatrics or a pediatric subspecialty
4. Licensed to practice in state of Ohio
5. Years of relevant experience: 5-10 years
6. Years of experience supervising: 5
7. Clinical experience in a pediatric inpatient or ambulatory setting is required
8. Maintain an academic appointment at NEOMED
