What you will be Responsible for:
The Senior Manager, Operations - Oncology Specialty provides leadership, direction, and coordination of all Infusion center services line activities except those directly involving professional medical judgement. Responsibitlies include the assurance that the underlying management and staff adhere to the policies, procedures, and rules and regulations of all applicable local, state and federal agencies, as well as applicable accrediting organizations. Under the direction of the Executive Director, the Senior Manager will oversee the operational management of new and existing Ambulatory Infusion departments, new facility design and construction, and strategic initiatives as designated, including subspecialty infusion departments such as Blood and Marrow transplant infusion and clinic research infusion. The Sr. Manager will have system-wide responsibilities for the collaboration with, and performance of, oncology/infusion specialty revenue cycle operations. The Senior Manager, Operations - Oncology Specialty will be responsible for overseeing Ambulatory infusion projects across all markets, including but not limited to, Infusion process improvement initiatives. The Senior Manager reviews and improves both short and long term objectives, policies and operating procedures, overseeing department managers in daily operations and all project initiatives. In this role, the Sr. Manager will assume responsibility for the creation of synergies and effective collaboration with all multidisciplinary areas including, but not limited to, all Institute and campus leadership, physician and practice leadership, research, nursing, pharmacy, lab, revenue cycle, supply chain, and finance. Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all.
Principle Duties and Responsibilities
Demonstrates, through behavior, AdventHealth service standards.
Supports operational leadership and strategic planning for the Oncology and Non-Oncology Infusion departments. Assesses current state, future state and leads plan development for infrastructure, tracking and implementation to ensure success.
As applicable, partners with physician practices ( both AHMG and private affiliate practices), inpatient oncology nursing, laboratory, pharmacy, pathology, revenue cycle, and imaging to provide connected care to patients.
Develops relationships with key customers. Provides leadership that fosters collaborative relations among matrix departments, staff, physicians, and business partners to ensure quality service.
Oversee initiatives for process and quality improvement.
Accountable for assuring compliance and providing evidence of performance with Det Norske Veritas (DNV), Qualtiy Oncology Practice Initiative (QOPI), Contiuum of Care (CoC), and other regulatory requirements specific to area of responsibility.
Adheres to application practice standards specific to area of responsibility
Ensures that all departments within scope of responsibility operate within allocated budget.
Implements financial strategies to provide effective fiscal management of cancer programs under the Sr. Manager’s direct control. Participates in preparation of operational and capital budgets, as well as proforma builds for new projects and departments.
Develops and implements partnership initiatives and processes, and creates goals that align with organizational and operational strategies, supporting organizational initiatives
Drives business development and competitive strategies
Identifies employment requirements, functions, tasks and job specifications for positions within reporting structure rollup. Assesses job candidates’ skills and experience, and selects top talent in accordance with needs. Identifies future skill set needed to maintain organizational competitiveness.
Oversees the management of all staffing for assigned area. Ensures staffing is effective and efficient, compliant, and promotes core values. Assures that staff is representative of the population diversity through oversight of recruitment, selection and retention of personnel. Ensures that staff are actively engaged in decisions within their scope of practice.
Plans and develops a complete succession plan for rollup up to and including own positions. Identifies high performing staff and works with Leadership Development and Talent Management to groom staff to meet succession plan timelines and curriculum. Actively mentors others in to the leadership role throughout the timeline. Reviews succession plan at least annually and during performance review period.
Experience in Oncology, Infusion, or related healthcare specialty service line
Strong Organization skills
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Effective oral and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex information in understandable terms to all levels of staff.
Effective computer skills, particularly Microsoft Offices Suite
Ability to work in a matrix-management environment to achieve organzational goals
Financial management and budgeting experience
Professional decision-making and proposing recommendations on short and long-term strategy development concerning matters of major importance to our leaders
Skilled in exercising a high degree or initiative, judgement and discretion, and decision-making in order to achieve organization objectives.

Comprehensive knowledge/experience in physician practice and/or hospital based Medical Oncology program or relevant subspecialty oncology program
Experience with Oncology Research operations
Experience with Blood and Marrow Transplant subspecialty service line
What you will need:
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare or Business Administration or related area OR 10 years related experience in healthcare- Oncology service line
Four (4) years of healthcare experience
Two (2) years of management experience
The Senior Manager will assume responsibility for the supervision of the AIC non-clinical managers at each campus, ensuring the management of revenue integrity, practice collaboration, and non-clinical operations for the system departments.
