The Non-interventionist Cardiologist is located within Medicine Service of the hospital and is responsible for consultation on various forms of cardiovascular diseases, both for diagnosis and treatment. The physician's primary collaborating physician will be the Section Chief of Cardiology. In the absence of the primary collaborating physician, the staff physician will serve as the alternate collaborating physician. Duties for the Cardiologist Noninterventionist include but not limited to: Clinical practice, supervising and teaching Cardiology fellows, residents and medical students. Providing consultation on various forms of cardiovascular disease states, both for diagnosis and treatment in the inpatient and outpatient settings. Performing and interpreting non-invasive cardiac studies such as stress tests, ambulatory ecg monitoring and cardiac imaging tests such as nuclear study, echocardiogram, Cardiac CT and Cardiac MR. Recognizing patients appropriate for referral and confer with the Section Chief Proficient in non-invasive imaging modalities including advanced echocardiogram skills, Cardiac CT and Cardiac MRI. Providing comprehensive patient care in the form of non-invasive, consultative, and inpatient/outpatient cardiology care.
