Position is permanent but will temporarily support the COVID-19 response NTE 3/2022. There are two full time openings for Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN) who will support various efforts in response to COVID-19 at the Northeast Wisconsin Ambulatory Clinic in Green Bay. The Licensed Practical Nurse demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and ability necessary to effectively apply aspects of the nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementing, and evaluation) when caring for the veteran population. The Licensed Practical Nurse provides care in the promotion and maintenance of health and prevention of illness and injury using the nursing process. The Licensed Practical Nurse function is to provide quality nursing care to a culturally diverse veteran population of varying complexity in a variety of settings. The Licensed Practical Nurse is responsible for delivering safe and timely care and services including but not limited to the following: Screens all recipient's pre-vaccine for potential concerns as identified by facility guidelines. Reinforces education to recipient and administers vaccine as indicated. Documents vaccine administration using appropriate medical record system. Assists with monitoring pre and post vaccination for potential side effects and refers for additional assessment/care, as indicated. Collects COVID-19 specimens, as indicated. Provides virtual care enhancement, engagement, and support for preventative health inventory efforts. Collaborates effectively with all disciplines and levels of care regarding patient care. Complies with various Isolation Precautions and Infection Control Guidelines. Possesses skills in time management, priority setting, assessment and urgent intervention. Other duties may be assigned by Nurse Manger. The COVID-19 response Licensed Practical Nurses will work under the guidance of the Nurse Manager. Work Schedule: Full Time, Varied days and start times which may include an occasional PM or Weekend Shift. Financial Disclosure Report: Not required
