Advanced Practice Registered Nurses / Physician Assistants
The Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology and Reproductive Sciences, University of Maryland School of Medicine in Baltimore is hiring a full-time faculty position to join a well-established group of 8 CNMs in the Division of Midwifery. The position is primarily a clinical one that includes full-scope care for our midwifery clients in several ambulatory care offices and at our affiliated hospital - University of Maryland Medical Center. The women we care for are from a diverse community, offering clinical challenges as well as great rewards.
Candidate must have at least a master’s degree and have AMCB certification as a nurse-midwife. The applicant for this position should have two or more years of current full-scope experience with a commitment to collaborative practice, and a strong interest in resident, medical student, and midwifery education.
Expected faculty rank is assistant professor or higher, however, rank, tenure status, and salary will be dependent upon selected candidate’s qualifications and experience. We offer an excellent salary and benefits package.

The midwives are faculty in the School of Medicine and are members of the Midwifery Division in the Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology & Reproductive Sciences. The members of the Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology & Reproductive Sciences serve as clinical and classroom faculty for medical students as well as for residents in Obstetrics and Gynecology and Maternal-Fetal-Medicine Fellows.
