JOB DESCRIPTION: The Vice President of De Novo Development will be responsible for leading de novo, facility relocation and expansion projects to ensure they are executed quickly and efficiently and in accordance with the Company�s strategic goals. The role will be accountable for planning and designating project resources, distributing budgets, monitoring progress, and coordinating with Company leadership and stakeholders through each entire project. This position is also responsible for overseeing USP Securities Corporation functions including internal processes and regulatory filings. The role will be responsible company-wide capital development projects, with some travel required in order to effectively execute on team initiatives. Creativity, innovation, self-reliance, organization and process-driven thinking are keys to success in this position. Experience successfully driving small and large development projects will be necessary, and expertise with ambulatory surgery center operations and joint venture partnership models is also required.
The Vice President of De Novo Development�s essential duties and responsibilities will include the following:
- Lead the execution of capital development projects within the approved scope, timeframe and budget for all de novo, relocation and expansion projects.
- Assist in the formation of JV partnerships and the syndication of ownership interests to physicians, including financial projections, preparation of syndication documents, and the services of the Company�s FINRA licensed broker-dealer company, USP Securities Corporation
- Oversee the coordination of the architect, engineer, and general contractor, including site selection and coordination of the design of and specifications for the facility.
- Provide guidance on de novo financial pro forma and a project budget models.
- Predict resources needed to reach objectives and manage resources in an effective and efficient manner.
- Manage de novo, relocation and expansion pipeline as well as approved and projected capital spend reports.
- Provide project updates and reports on a consistent basis to various stakeholders relating to financing, equipment status and overall project expenditures on all projects.
- Identify and implement process improvement opportunities.
- Partner with business leaders before, during and after projects are complete to ensure they make strategic sense, fit with forward-looking business plans, and are integrated smoothly and fully optimized.
- Utilize industry best practices, techniques, and standards throughout entire project execution.
- Serve as Principal for USP Securities Corporation
Qualifications:
REQUIRED SKILLS:
- Bachelor�s Degree and an MBA or relevant graduate degree is preferred.
- Extensive experience managing de novo developments of ambulatory surgery centers (or related healthcare capital development experience)
- Additional operational, project management, and/or clinical background working in ambulatory surgery centers is preferred.
- Obtain and maintain Series 22, 39 and 63 securities licenses.
- Proven ability to complete projects according to outlined scope, budget, and timeline
