Fairview Health Services is looking for a Radiologic Technologist to work out of the Fairview Clinics in Burnsville, Minnesota in the Pain and Palliative Care department. This position is approved for 56 hours every two weeks and is bennefit eligable.The position will support multiple specialties including sports medicine, podiatry, general and sub-specialty orthopedic surgery, spine and pain management, within the same suite. The site has two rooms, both having DR technology. The role includes evening and weekend hours that are shared amongst an RT team that supports the site.
The Clinic Radiologic Technologist functions independently based on the boundaries of professional practice in performing all major work responsibilities. The Technologist provides services to patients and physicians through the creation of high quality diagnostic imaging, provides quality age-appropriate patient care according to established standards of practice, and works collaboratively with all members of the health care team. The technologist is responsible for performing these responsibilities in accordance with all policy, procedures, and regulatory agency requirements (ARRT).

Communicates pertinent data clearly to the appropriate health care professional
Participates in creating a culture of patient safety
Demonstrates knowledge of emergency preparedness
Verify patient identification and documentation
Communicate with and educate patient regarding pertinent information during all aspects of exam
Achieves quality diagnostic images through correct patient positioning and use of technical factors according to protocol
Technical Certificate in Radiology or Associated Degree in Radiology
Current Registration with American Registry Radiologic Technology
1 3 years of Radiologic Technologist expertise
ISCD Certification for Bone Densitometry preferred
Other Required Skills
Understanding of current Minnesota Department of Health Regulations.
Knowledge of quality control and safety standards.
