The Clinical Nurse Manager is responsible for coordinating and managing the daily staffing assignments and activities at the location. This position is responsible for supervising, organizing and implementing actions to ensure that optimal quality nursing and surgical care is provided according to policies and procedures for the facility. This position provides leadership by working cooperatively with nursing personnel both at assigned location as well as others. The Clinical Nurse Manager is professionally responsible for the assessment, prescription, implementation and evaluation of patient care, and is accountable for the outcome of such care and demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served.
Responsible for directing all clinical surgical care activities within The Magna Surgical Center, including the performance of such activities by other RN’s, LPN’s, ORT’s and ancillary personnel within the clinical care areas according to established policies and procedures.
Coordinates with other location Clinical Nurse Managers, physicians and their office staff, vendors and corporate staff.
Education: Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing. Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Nursing preferred. Continued relevant medical education.
Experience: Minimum of five years as an Operating Room Nurse. At least two of the five years should include supervisory responsibilities.
Licensure/Certification: Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Illinois. CPR certified in Basic Life Support; ACLS preferred. AORN member preferred with CNOR desireable.
