JOB TITLE:Graduate Medical Educ Program Administrator

With oversight from the Graduate Medical Education (GME) Leadership Team and direction from the Program Director(s), the Program Administrator is responsible for the accreditation and non-clinical operations of the program.
The position requires a comprehensive and detailed understanding of national accreditation policies and Geisinger policies, as well as a high degree of initiative and independent judgment.
The GME Program Administrator will continually assess and direct a wide range of programmatic planning solutions to include short and long range planning goals, recruitment, orientation, accreditation and assigned projects.
The GME Program Administrator will be proficient in administrative workflow, maintaining databases/websites and communicating effectively with multiple internal and external program stakeholders.
The GME Program Administrator will be knowledgeable and exhibit leadership qualities to support and direct resident activities. In addition, the position will support positive resident/fellow well-being and comply with institutional policies and procedures.
The GME Program Administrator will report to a Senior GME Program Administrator or the Manager of Medical Education

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
Associates degree required plus three years of administrative experience preferably in a related academia field. Three years of relevant work experience with Medical Education may be substituted in lieu of a degree. Bachelor’s degree in education, healthcare administration or related field preferred.
Experience should include project or program coordination or high-level administrative support. Knowledge of graduate medical education preferred
WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Work is generally performed in a general office environment. Travel is required for off-campus meetings and events.
