There are two surgery center locations and Coastal Orthopedics has credentialed specialists who can practice at either location. Both Centers are under the direction of the same Governing Board and utilize the same policies and procedures and credentialing process. The same staff works at both facilities. Each facility is separately licensed by the State of Florida.
The Administrative Director is responsible for the day to day operations and reports directly to the CEO of the organization. This position has the added benefit of working with a strong ASC management company.
AD direct responsibilities include:
Coordinate and monitor quality of care in accordance with the established policies and procedures or the organization as well as regulatory bodies and agencies
Staff Performance evaluations. Establishing performance criteria, assisting staff in identifying goals and implementing action plans for staff.
Manage staffing that meets the organization goals through forecasting staffing needs and interviewing and selecting qualified personnel
Oversee the flow of surgical scheduling
Assists in providing leadership and direction in the administration of operations to ensure compliance with established organizational objectives and the delivery of optimal quality health care services
Provide creative solutions as the surgery centers continue to grow.
A track record of successfully managing the operations of an ASC is essential, as is possession of the leadership skills to guide members of the staff. A bachelor’s degree, five years of medical surgical experience (R.N.) and five years of Director Level ASC experience is required. Prior medical group practice experience, orthopedic group experience and a masters’ degree would be ideal.
