Our developing ambulatory surgical center is looking for an energetic and well-organized Business Office Manager to handle day-to-day business operations with a focus on finances and expenses. The Business Office Manager will be responsible for the oversight of budgets and business accounts and plans, evaluating, revising and implementing office goals and procedures, supervising business office employees, and task delegation. We are looking for a dedicated professional who is comfortable wearing multiple hats and is able to collaborate with staff and management.
Responsibilities & Duties:
Assists Administrator and Medical Director in the development of the operating and capital budgets.
Works with the Administrator and Medical Director to monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of current processes, suggest improvements and implement appropriate solutions.
Keeps accurate records of expenses and maintains expenses within budgeted projections.
Prompt review and processing of all invoiced related to facility operations, contracts, etc.
Act as corporate compliance office for the organization and will stay up-to date with all applicable compliance policies and regulations.
Manages daily AR and billing operations to minimize financial liabilities.
Oversees day-to-day operation of registration account payment posting, billing and collection services. Ensure compliance with regulatory controls.
Directs, trains and supervises business office support staff.
Maintain ongoing communication with personnel to ensure continued smooth function of procedures.
Monitors and reviews the work of business office staff to ensure all work is done on a timely basis and office harmony is maintained.
If requested, takes responsibility to chair one or more committees, or serve as a participant on a committee.
Provides evidence of sufficient continuing education to stay current in role and completes all mandatory training.
Troubleshoot and respond to emergency situations that may arise.
Other duties as assigned.
Bachelor’s degree required (M.A. or M.B.A. preferred) with 2-5 years of budget, finance and operations experience. (addition Healthcare experience preferred)
Advanced computer skills (Quickbooks experience a plus)
Demonstrated competency in financial management
Ability to work independently, and accept accountability for outcomes
Effectively works in a team, interacts with superiors and direct reports in a positive manner, and delegates tasks appropriately
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Experience working in a fast-paced environment and with multi-disciplinary teams
