Job Summary: The Faith Regional Surgery Center Administrator is responsible for all functions of the department; plans, directs, coordinates, evaluates, and requires a sound knowledge of the overall clinical nursing practice that promotes safety and well-being of all patients as well as a strong business background with experience in contractuals. Implements and monitors standards of patient care which are in compliance with all applicable regulations and standards. Assures that nursing practices are standardized and are consistent with overall nursing practices and standards. Requires a sound knowledge of the Faith Regional Surgery Center. The Administrator will have demonstrable skills in leadership, management, interpersonal relations, conflict resolution, and problem solving. The functions of the Surgery Center Administrator include: financial management of Faith Regional Surgery Center including budget development and ongoing evaluation; management of staff; collaborating with Faith Regional Health Services human resources for the management of Faith Regional Health Services staff leased by Faith Regional Surgery Center; responsibilities and duties as a member of a multi-disciplinary team; leadership as a mentor for staff members; strategic planning; day to day operations; procurement and maintenance of supplies and equipment, including purchasing capital equipment; contract maintenance; maintaining and developing Faith Regional Surgery Center policies and procedures; identifying and implementing performance improvement initiatives and evaluation effectiveness; maintain Faith Regional Surgery Center regulatory compliance; developing and maintaining Faith Regional Surgery Center charge master; work with contracted billing and coding company and trouble shoot accounting issues; developing and implementing a patient/customer focused staffing plan. The Faith Regional Surgery Center Administrator participates in, or delegates appropriate participation in all performance improvement teams, medical staff committees and work teams. Acts as a liaison between physicians, staff, and the Faith Regional Surgery Center Management Board. Overall authority and management of the business services at the Faith Regional Surgery Center. Develops and implements marketing strategies to increase utilization of Faith Regional Surgery Center. Performs as a role model for guest relations to ensure that the staff provides courteous, respectful, and personalized customer service. Must have knowledge of diagnosis and procedure codes for ASC coding as well as the Correct Coding Initiatives. Must have knowledge of the State of Nebraska and Federal Medical Records Laws, knowledge of Accounts Receivable and Payable procedures and knowledge of Collection Laws in the State of Nebraska. Would prefer knowledge of Peachtree Accounting system and knowledge of Advantix Scheduling and billing system would be helpful. The Administrator needs to develop a partnership with FRHS Finance Department and Controller so both entities are aware of monthly data.
Job Requirements: Bachelor's Degree in Business, Nursing, Healthcare Administration or equivalent education required. Master's Degree preferred. Previous clinical experience preferred. Proficient in developing financial projections, business plans, and budgets required. Previous management experience in Ambulatory Surgery, Hospital Surgery, and or Hospital Finance Department required. Experience working with outsourced billing and coding companies overseeing AR accounts and collections preferred. Knowledge of CPT codes Quality Net and National Practitioner Data Bank knowledge preferred. Clinical knowledge of Ambulatory Surgery Required. If an RN, Current Registered Nurse (RN) license or temporary permit from the State of Nebraska required Basic Life Support (BLS) obtained within one full month from date of hire required.

Our professional staff is certified in Advanced Cardiac Life Support as well as Pediatric Advanced Life Support, and physicians are carefully credentialed for procedures they perform. Prior to a procedure, patients can expect to be contacted by staff who will go over what will take place the day of surgery, and will receive a follow-up call the day after to make sure they are doing well.
The Surgery Center offers fixed fees for each surgical procedure done. Generally, fees are 10 to 30 percent lower than what would be charged in other health care facilities, helping to keep health care costs lower for patients.
