Palm Shores Behavioral Health Center (PSBHC) is an intensive inpatient psychiatric program for males and females, ages 5 - 17 years old. We offer a highly structured supportive and safe environment for children and adolescents who are experiencing behavioral, emotional, family, and social challenges.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE/ WORK ENVIRONMENT
The RN has a significant role in direct patient care and is a principle element in assuring adherence to prescribed treatment, patient well-being, and providing a safe and therapeutic environment. The Registered Nurse must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care, based on physical, psycho/social, educational, safety and related criteria, appropriate to the age of the patients served.
Skills: Knowledge of appropriate nursing assessment, diagnoses, and interventions with patients. Knowledge of milieu management. Ability to accurately administer medication and monitor side-effects. Ability to develop therapeutic relationships with patients and families Skill in preparing and maintaining appropriate medical record documentation
The regular schedule for this position is 40 hours a week schedule (same overnights, non-rotating) - 11:00 pm - 7:30 am.
