Austin Oaks Hospital is currently seeking a Human Resources Director to join our senior management team. The Human Resources Director (HRD) is responsible for executing Human Resource activities at the facility for all functional areas, (e.g., recruitment, employee relations, compensation, compliance, etc.) and serves as a professional resource for facility management on all HR-related activities. Austin Oaks Hospital is an acute care behavioral health facility that provides unsurpassed mental health care to adults, adolescents and children age 4 and up. JOB REQUIREMENTS Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Ability to function as advisor to senior management, hospital management, and staff. Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, to operating officials and groups of employees from numerous occupational fields, community organizations and be able to represent the Hospital on local committees. Ability to establish and maintain effective and harmonious work relationships with patients, employees, Hospital officials, and the general public. Ability to display tact, courtesy and professionalism at all times when dealing with the general public and staff. Ability to maintain confidentiality at all times due to highly sensitive information regarding personnel data, salaries, etc. Ability to problem-solve, utilize critical thinking skills, and exercise good judgment in the performance of duties Job Requirements: - Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field. Master's Degree preferred.
- Professional certification PHR/SPHR preferred.
- Demonstrated knowledge of standard personnel policies and procedures, knowledge of standard local and federal requirements relative to employment laws and practices.
