The Admission/Business Development Director oversees the assessment, referral and admission activities of the department and provides telephonic and in person assessments and, initial contact with referral sources and potential clients, coordinates the referral and intake process, determines appropriate level of care and maintains communication with referral sources, families, clients and unit staff.
Key Responsibilities include:
Admission/Business Development Director serves as a key member of the facility leadership and is on the senior management team. The Admissions/Business Development Director oversees the assessment, referral and admission activities of the department. The Director sets the tone and example of compassion, empathy, efficiency and a sense of urgency in the department. Assigns responsibilities to Admissions Intake Coordinators to assure prompt response to client needs reviews and maintains all documents and departmental logs and ensures fair distribution of clients to physicians. The Director will provide telephonic and in person assessments and, initial contact with referral sources and potential clients, coordinates the referral and intake process, determines appropriate level of care and maintains communication with referral sources, families, clients and unit staff. This position assumes on call status (Administrator on Call) on a rotational basis.
