Reporting to the Vice President, Ophthalmology Operations & Integration, the Executive Director Ambulatory Surgery Centers will oversee multiple surgery centers that offer comprehensive Ophthalmic surgical services with the latest technologically advanced equipment. The Executive Director of Ambulatory Surgery Centers is responsible for creating and leading all financial and strategic goals, clinical planning, performance improvement and corporate initiatives. The Executive Director will be integral in managing physician (especially surgeons) and coworker satisfaction and implementing initiatives to improve patient, staff, and provider experience and morale. This individual will act as a liaison between EyeCare Partners administration and the physicians to create a culture of open communication and mutual understanding.
KEY ASPECTS OF THE ROLE: •Engage in continuous improvement of internal processes to drive efficiency and responsiveness to operations •Patient-Centered approach, providing excellent medical treatment and patient care. •Oversee the development of strategic plans, goals and metrics to achieve fiscal, quality, safety, professional practice and patient experience vision. •Collaborate with team to develop, implement and evaluate programs and services that support safe, quality patient care delivery and effective utilization of workforce, facilities and equipment. •Gather continuous intelligence on surgical services performance, customer perception, industry trends and new problems and opportunities •Demonstrate leadership abilities with strong mediation, diplomatic, and negotiation skills to influence others and implement change; ability to organize, prioritize, and accomplish multiple strategic priorities simultaneously

Bachelor’s degree required; MBA preferred •10+ years of experience in healthcare operations, preferably ophthalmic surgical centers, •Must have successfully led financial and strategic goals, clinical planning, performance improvement in healthcare setting •A current working knowledge of the surgical center operations with ability to connect patient experience to outcomes. •Strong interpersonal skills in working with administrators, physicians and multidisciplinary teams to develop, improve, and/or validate specific programs. •Excellent knowledge of surgical center operations and project management. •Possess excellent analytical, communication, decision making, interpersonal and organizational skills •Team player who can handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast growing company, good time management skills, and a willingness to exert extra effort as required •Strategic mindset and problem solving skills •Change management skills and ability to take varying approaches with a diverse set of stakeholders •Knowledge of enterprise risk management and business continuity planning •Analytical mindset, but also creativity to seek, encourage, and find non-traditional approaches to historical procurement practices •Highly organized and able to prioritize and manage time efficiently with the ability to handle stress in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment •Proven track record of success and career progression •Strong ability to influence without authority •Highly motivated and performance-driven •Collaborative and proactive; consummate team player able to work effectively up, down and across the organization, especially in relating to the operating units •Has a bias for action even in the face of ambiguity and complexity
