Clarus Eye Centre, Laser Surgery Center seeks a dynamic, patient-focused, self-starter to lead our clinical operations. This is an exciting opportunity for a licensed RN with a minimum of five (5) years ASC experience (ophthalmology preferred) and three (3) years management experience. The Laser Surgery Centre (LSC) Clinical Director is responsible for the direct supervision of the LSC Staff, and for planning, organizing, and directing the operation of the surgery center. Reports to and works collaboratively with the Executive Director and works the Executive Director and members of the Senior Leadership team such as the Clarus Eye Centre Clinical Manager, Controller, and Human Capital Management (HCM) Manager. Provides support to staff, patients, physicians and outside customers. Analyzes and evaluates services to improve quality of care while enhancing a teamwork approach to active problem-solving. All other duties not heretofore mentioned that fall under the reasonable expectations of the LSC Clinical Director.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
RN license, Current Board of Nursing Washington State license, BLS, and ACLS. Five (5) years previous ophthalmology experience. Two (2) years previous managerial experience. Ability to communicate effectively with patients, family members, physicians, coworkers and outside customers.
Knowledge of management and organizational theory to supervise the operation of the department including principles of employee development to train delegate and mentor staff. Knowledge of medical safety practices and requirement to evaluate existing standards and implement new procedures. Knowledge of current nursing practices and clinical standards. Skill in applying and modifying the principles, methods, and techniques of professional nursing. Skill in exercising high degree of initiative, judgment, discretion, and decision-making. Eligibility: All employees must be able to provide proof of their identity and their right to work in the United States.

Ability to direct the activities of the staff and manage the personnel. Knowledge: Working knowledge and experience in ambulatory surgery environment, preferably operating room, including direct patient care. Ability to adhere to work schedule and manage time appropriately. Ability to effectively manage the activities and personnel in the facility. Knowledge of current nursing matters relating to healthcare management including QAPI. Ability to utilize resources in an organized and effective manner. Machines, Equipment, Work Aides: Standard operating room supplies and equipment. Computer, printer, copier, telephone and fax.
