The Medical Biller/Accounts Payable team member is responsible for both the medical billing and accounts payable at the facility.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Data entry of visit information into patient accounting system, Ensuring all claims are filled in a timely manner, Following up with coding company and physicians offices on missing information, Data entry of invoices into accounts payable system, Ensuring invoices match packing slips and purchase orders, Working with materials coordinator to address any discrepancies, Ensuring clean vendor statements and work any outstanding invoices, Maintaining and filing completed billing and AP. This position will also be cross-trained to assist at front desk as needed.
MINIMUM BACKGROUND & EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS: Must have a high school diploma or equivalent. Technical training and/or work related experience necessary. Must have computer experience working with Window’s based systems. Completion of a medical terminology course and knowledge of health insurance plans preferred. Previous medical billing experience required.
