Partnered with a hospital in western South Carolina with an opening for a Cardiothoracic Surgery Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to provide locum coverage.

Opening Overview:

• Flexible Schedule: 8-hour shifts
• Call shifts required
• Setting: Clinic and call
• Cases: General cardiac and thoracic procedures
• EMR: Epic
• Must be board-certified
• Paid travel & expenses

During your time off, stroll a vibrant Main Street lined with boutiques, galleries, and award-winning restaurants, visit a minor league baseball stadium, and drive into the nearby Blue Ridge Mountains.

Qualifications

• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
• National Institutes of Health (NIH)
• Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
• Active unencumbered Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant South Carolina state license
• Graduate from a fully accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program
• Two years of work experience as Cardiothoracic Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner
• One year of EMR experience
• Board Certified

• Knowledge of and dedication to the highest patient care and provide the utmost service excellence to all patients.

• A can-do, team oriented attitude is essential, as the ability to work independently and to interact easily with physicians, other managers and staff throughout the department and hospital.
• Effective interpersonal/communication, organizational, and the flexibility to handle multiple tasks.
