Saint Simons By-The-Sea Hospital is a 101 bed psychiatric and addictive disease hospital for adults and adolescents. We strive to provide quality mental health treatment and addiction treatment services in the area. Located on Saint Simons Island, Ga., Saint Simons By-The-Sea's serene island setting ensures privacy and anonymity, enabling the patient to concentrate on recovery. Our hospital is conveniently located within driving distance of Jacksonville, FL, Savannah, GA, and other surrounding cities in the South Georgia and Northern Florida region. Saint Simons By-The-Sea's staff has extensive experience in the fields of addiction treatment, recovery, relapse prevention and mental health treatment.
Saint Simons By-The-Sea Hospital is seeking an Assessment Coordinator to support the purpose and procedures of the entire intake and admission process. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following tasks: maintaining daily census records, entering all intake and admission data into a hospital computer database, handling intake calls, completing thorough intake assessments, determining appropriate levels of care with MDs, verifying insurance benefits, completing insurance pre-certifications, establishing and maintaining positive relationships with referral sources, documenting inquiry calls, and maintaining phone, assessment and EMTALA logs. Ensures that the level of treatment and clinical services is appropriate to all patient needs. Responsible for maintaining positive relationships with staff from other departments.
