Rockford Center is Delaware's first private psychiatric facility and remains a leader in providing behavioral health care services and continues its commitment to providing quality health care. Rockford Center, a 128-bed acute psychiatric hospital continues to provide a full continuum of behavioral health services to geriatrics, adults, adolescents, and children. The Registered Nurse will deliver quality nursing care to psychiatric adult, geriatric and adolescent and child patients. Key Responsibilities include: - Conducts ongoing and individualized nursing care duties as assigned and as dictated by the patient's condition in accordance with physician orders and facility protocols.
- When administering PRN medications, assess for confirmed med for PRN, documents need (rationale) and its effectiveness in the medical record.
- Reports change in patient physical, mental status or episodes of seclusion or restraint to nurse manager or supervisor during each shift.
- Collaborates with other team members in the development, implementation, and evaluation of an individualized plan of care.
- Performs treatments and therapies as ordered by physician in an appropriate and timely fashion.
- Participates in emergency crisis interventions according to age appropriate techniques.
- Maintains confidentiality related to patient, family, client facility and staff in accordance with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA).
- Provides patient care in a non-judgmental, non-discriminatory manner that considers cultural diversity and age appropriateness so that autonomy, rights, and dignity are preserved.
