The Regional Director Operations is responsible for the operational, financial and managerial oversight of the facilities supported. The Director will perform analysis and modeling to support the financial and clinical operations. This position is responsible for aggregating from hospital clients the data necessary to monitor key financial, operational and clinical performance indicators that drive performance. Effective communication methods and the ability to work with all levels of the organization is needed to evaluate, modify and develop business processes while enhancing profitability and improving daily operations.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES
Provide leadership and support to remote facilities
Provide assistance in the review and analysis of financial, clinical and operational performance indicators and provide feedback to hospital administration and VP of Operations (PA)
Responsible for direction and guidance in the oversight, implementation and adherence to internal policies and procedures
Participate in the evaluation of facility performance through the annual evaluation process, quality assurance and performance program and periodic review of operations.
Create business case to illustrate the impact of a decision on profitability, efficiency and patient care
Organize and manage the providers and hospital resources to gain commitment and achieve optimal performance
Experienced in practice staffing, provider recruitment, practice governance, strategic planning, scheduling, practice management information systems and provider enrollment
Monitor and evaluate performance as well as recommend solutions and processes to achieve established goals
Partner with all clinical providers to maximize resources dedicated to clinical recruitment, staffing and scheduling requirements. Identify opportunities for resource optimization and continuous quality improvement (CQI)
Evaluate practice productivity and provide recommendations for improvement
Responsible for providing company guidance and planning for strategic and tactical business operations.
Develops and implements operational plans, policies, and goals which further strategic objectives. Assists the various PA facilities in developing operating budgets.
Foster teamwork between the anesthesia department, administrative staff, medical staff and surgical services management.
Work to improve practice performance and promote excellent patient care.
This position requires 25%-30% travel.
Bachelor’s degree in business or related field or equivalent experience and education.
The Director should have strong managerial, financial, and analytical skills. The position requires a strong business background and strong computer skills (MS Word, PowerPoint, and Excel competency are a must), excellent verbal and written communication skills, people management skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Five to 8 years’ experience in physician practice management that required oversite of financial management, revenue cycle, productivity, and leadership development.
Strong management and organizational design skills.
Excellent oral and written communications skills.
Solid interpersonal and management abilities.
Ability to change organizational structures to enhance business profitability
