GPSC is seeking an experienced Nurse Administrator for our facility located in Portland, Oregon. A free-standing facility, the center opened in November of 2015 and achieved its AAAHC accreditation in February of 2017. The center has two class-C operatories in a spacious 5,000+ sq./ft. office. We are seeking a self-motivated, business-development-minded, nurse who loves kids and wants to grow with this beautiful, well-equipped facility. The Nurse Administrator is responsible for the overall operations of the facility, yet is supported by a team of business professionals in our administrative office. The Nurse Administrator will split his/her time between providing nursing backup in the OR and/or PACU, and working to develop, implement, and carry-out business development efforts. Additionally, s/he will be responsible for maintaining the clinical and office teams, leading, training, and evaluating them to ensure that they are reaching their full potential. A working knowledge of healthcare operations and its related tools and equipment is a must, and a basic understanding of dental procedures is also helpful. Our administrative office’s billing, coding, and contracting professionals provide ready-support to this vital role. Knowledge of accreditation requirements (AAAHC preferred), including quality, safety/infection control, and HIPAA is important. A current Oregon RN license and at least 2 years prior experience in a healthcare management role is required. As a pediatric center, ACLS and PALS training is required for all nursing staff, including the Nurse Administrator. A successful Nurse Administrator maintains excellent interpersonal relationships, a team-player attitude, and strong organizational skills.
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing Active, unencumbered Oregon RN License (BSN minimum) ACLS and PALS Certification Previous nursing leadership and management required, preferably in an ASC
Founded in 2015, Gateway Pediatric Surgery Center specializes in the surgical treatment of children between the ages of 2 years and 8 years old. Our facility is in a newly renovated building with top-of-the-line equipment and ORs to best serve our patients and staff. We’re an ASC that has been accredited by the AAAHC.
