Einstein Health Network(www.einstein.edu) announces a national search for a Chief Medical Officer.
This position reports directly to the President and CEO of Einstein Healthcare Network. The Chief Medical Officer will be a senior physician executive of the EHN leadership team, providing clinical and strategic oversight and will take the lead on many critical initiatives as EHN continues its mission of performance excellence. The Chief Medical Officer (CMO) will oversee the following;
Quality and Patient Safety Departments
Medical Staff Office
Department Chairs of Dental Medicine, Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, Anesthesia, Medicine, Behavioral Health, Pediatrics, Obstetrics and Gynecology, Radiology, Digestive Disease and Transplantation, Neurology, Orthopaedics, Surgery, Radiation Oncology, Pathology, and Emergency Medicine.
The CMO will interface with the health system officers for graduate medical education, regulatory affairs, and others. The ideal candidate will be an accomplished physician executive who has demonstrated by earlier accomplishments an ability to define a vision for primary, secondary and tertiary-care services in an academic teaching environment, and work effectively with other members of an executive management team.

Einstein Medical Center Philadelphia - 509-bed, acute & tertiary care, independent major teaching organization offering a full range of advanced healthcare services and is a Level 1 Regional Resource Trauma Center
MossRehab - the renowned physical and cognitive rehabilitation arm of Einstein Healthcare Network, and has again been named by U.S. News & World Report magazine for 2016-2017 as a “Top 10 In The Nation” Rehabilitation facility
Einstein Medical Center Elkins Park - offers a full range of services, including a 24-hour Emergency Department, on a 30-acre suburban campus in Montgomery County with a focus on Surgical and Outpatient Services.
Center One - Primary & specialty care services that serve patients in northeast Philadelphia, Lower Bucks and Montgomery counties. Program offerings: ambulatory surgery, diagnostic imaging, outpatient rehabilitation, outpatient cancer center and a multi-specialty medical and surgical practice.
Willowcrest - a 44-bed hospital based sub-acute nursing care and rehabilitation facility located on EHN’s main campus

D. or D.O. with at least ten years of post-graduate clinical experience; An M.B.A, M.P.H. or equivalent degree is preferred. Board certification is a requirement.
Eligible to obtain an appointment as a faculty member of Thomas Jefferson University’s Sidney Kimmel School of Medicine
Experience as Chief Medical Officer or Medical Director within a progressive, complex health care system, ideally in an academic environment is preferred.
Experience in physician engagement and clinical process transformation.
Ability to serve as an effective champion for quality and continuous performance improvement using passion and persuasive skills
History of successful clinical and educational leadership experience, as well as the political acumen to navigate an integrated healthcare system.
